At Ranch Road Baptist Church, we believe the Bible is God’s Word and the foundation for everything we believe and teach. Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and are consistent with the Baptist Faith & Message of 2000.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, completely true and trustworthy. Scripture is our highest authority for what we believe, how we live, and how we understand God. All Scripture ultimately points us to Jesus Christ.
We believe there is one true and living God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of all things.
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died on the cross as our substitute, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will one day return in power and glory. Jesus is the only mediator between God and humanity.
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully divine. He inspired the Scriptures, convicts people of sin, brings new life to those who believe, lives within every Christian, produces spiritual growth, gives spiritual gifts, and empowers the church for worship, service, and mission.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses dignity and worth. Humanity was created good, but sin entered the world through human rebellion against God. Because of sin, every person needs the grace and salvation that only God can provide.
We believe salvation is God's gift of grace and is received through repentance and personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus secured redemption through His death and resurrection. Salvation includes the new birth, justification, sanctification, and ultimately glorification. There is no salvation apart from faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe the local church is a congregation of baptized believers joined together in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. Jesus Christ is the Head of the church, and every believer is called to use his or her gifts for the building up of the body and the advancement of the gospel. Scripture identifies pastors/elders/overseers and deacons as the church's two offices.
We believe baptism is the immersion in water of a person who has placed faith in Jesus Christ. Baptism does not save us, but publicly pictures our identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
We believe the Lord's Supper is a symbolic act through which believers remember the sacrificial death of Jesus and look forward to His return.
We believe followers of Jesus are called to continue growing in spiritual maturity throughout their lives. Through the indwelling Holy Spirit, God's Word, prayer, the fellowship of the church, and obedience to Christ, believers increasingly grow in grace and Christlikeness.
We believe every follower of Jesus and every local church is called to make disciples of all nations. Christians are called to share the gospel with others through both faithful verbal witness and a life that reflects Jesus Christ.
We believe Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return. The dead will be raised, Christ will judge humanity in righteousness, and those who belong to Him will live forever with the Lord.
We believe God designed marriage as the lifelong covenant union of one man and one woman. Husbands and wives are equally created in the image of God and are called to reflect Christ through faithful, loving marriage. Children are a gift from God, and parents bear the primary responsibility for teaching and modeling biblical truth to them.
Ranch Road Baptist Church affirms the Baptist Faith & Message of 2000 as a summary of our doctrinal convictions. Scripture alone remains our final authority for faith and practice.
